Event Spaces
Small Craft Gallery
With immersive harbour views, soaring ceilings, and historic wooden ships as its backdrop, the Small Craft Gallery is the Museum’s largest and most dramatic event space. The setting brings a sense of grandeur and history that elevates every event.

- Up to 110 guests seated
- Up to 150 guests for a standing reception
This space is ideal for large receptions, seated catered dinners, lectures, business meetings, and special ceremonies.
Observation Deck
Perfect for smaller receptions and mixers, the Observation Deck offers a direct connection to the waterfront with sweeping views of the harbour and boardwalk below. Located outdoors on the Museum’s second level, this space adds a striking coastal element to any event.

- Up to 50 guests seated
- Up to 75 guests for a standing reception
Freehand Hospitality event planners can accommodate special requests for this space, including passed canapés, tenting, and outdoor seating arrangements.

For events hosted at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, there is an option to request onsite Museum staff to enhance your guests’ experience. Museum staff can be available to assist guests with observing exhibits and learning more about the galleries and historic vessels throughout the space.
